One day after The Sims 4 Patch 1.129 (October 27, 2026), the first big modders have reported in, and the news is mostly good. MC Command Center works without an update, LittleMsSam has checked all her mods against 1.129.39, and Basemental says no updates are needed. The XML Injector, which hundreds of small mods depend on, is still listed as “Status Not Confirmed”. Here is what we know as of Wednesday morning, October 28, and what to do before you load a modded save.

LittleMsSam (300+ mods)CheckedHer site says all her mods have been checked with patch 1.129.39. Several were updated on October 27, so download them again. Source

Among the LittleMsSam mods with a fresh “Patch 1.129.39 Update” on October 27 are Hire certain Sims at Restaurants, her Ingredients Required mod and Carryable Performance Stage. That fits the patch: EA changed food tuning across every pack and fixed more than 25 Dine Out problems, so food and restaurant tuning mods were the ones that needed new files.

Not confirmed yet

  • XML Injector v4.2: Scumbumbo’s official status page for patch 1.129 lists it under “Status Not Confirmed”. Many LittleMsSam mods need it, and she says her mods are checked, but the injector itself has no official confirmation yet.
  • Everything on Scarlet’s Realm’s Mod List: all statuses were reset to “Unknown” before the patch went live on October 27 and are being filled in again.
  • TwistedMexi (Better Exceptions, Mod Conflict Detector), Lumpinou, Kuttoe, Zer0, weerbesu (UI Cheats Extension) and Adeepindigo: no patch post yet on their Patreon pages as of this morning.

Which mods are most at risk

Reading EA’s patch notes for 1.129, these are the areas where we expect problems:

  • Food, cooking and recipe mods. EA retuned prices and calories for every food and drink in the base game and all packs, and added 375+ dishes to Family Recipes. A mod that overrides the same food tuning can undo EA’s changes or break recipes.
  • Restaurant and autonomy mods. EA changed when diners get up, how waiters work and when Sims eat leftovers.
  • Pie menu mods. Many self-interactions moved into the new “Sim Options…” category. Mods that add to the same menu may show up in odd places.
  • Body and fitness mods. The new weight and muscle toggles touch the same systems as mods that control body changes. You may not need those mods any more.

EA also wrote that many of the top crash reports are linked to outdated or conflicting mods, and two of this month’s 14 crash fixes deal directly with mod-related errors.

What to do now

  1. Back up your saves and your Mods folder before you load anything.
  2. Update the mods that are confirmed: re-download any LittleMsSam mod with an October 27 date, and make sure MCCC is on 2026.6.0.
  3. Move script mods without a confirmation (.ts4script files) out of the Mods folder until the creator posts.
  4. Delete localthumbcache.package in your Sims 4 folder after updating mods.
  5. If the game shows errors, follow our guide on fixing mods after a patch. A mod manager or the Mod Conflict Detector helps you find the file that is out of date.

We update the Sims 4 mod status page as creators confirm their mods for 1.129. Check it before you add a mod back.
