Sims getting sick every single day was fun for nobody, and the devs clearly got the memo. This patch reduces how often ailments occur by up to 75%, targeting both contagions and the balance system.

Here’s the breakdown:

Contagions: Before, Sims would catch something nearly every day. Now, it’s once every 3 days on average. Households with lots of Sims or those in the naturopath career will still see illness—but way less often.
Spread mechanics were also toned down. Public toilets and your own household were basically hot zones. That’s no longer the case.
Emotional imbalance tweaks: Emotions like “Mortified” or “Hysterical” used to instantly tank your balance and make your Sim sick. Now, there’s a buffer, giving you a chance to react and recover.

The team says more controls for ailments are on the way in future updates—so we’re not done yet.

Fairy Wings Drama – Explained

Some players were frustrated that fairy wings weren’t showing up when they were supposed to. Turns out, it’s intentional—kind of.

Fairy wings are hidden during over 360 different interactions to avoid clipping issues. That includes lying down, sitting, and horseback riding. But if your wings never come back, report it. That’s not intended.

Console Players, This One’s For You

If you’ve been getting the “online connection required” message on PlayStation or Xbox when trying to access the gallery—good news, there’s a fix.

Go to Game Options > Other > Link EA Account
Accept the user agreement that pops up, restart your game, and boom—gallery access should return.
