Sims 4 Height Slider Mod: Best Current Options, Install and CAS Guide

There is no single “Sims 4 height slider mod”. There are a few custom CAS sliders that let you make Sims taller or shorter in Create a Sim. The best kept option today is GODJUL1’s Height Slider Updated by GhostWitch on Mod The Sims, last updated in March 2025. The other popular choice is Luumia’s Sim Height Slider on Patreon, last updated in June 2022. No creator has confirmed either one for patch 1.128 yet. Below you find what each one does, how to install it and how to use it in CAS.

What happened to the original height slider mod

The first height slider for The Sims 4 was made by simmythesim. GODJUL1 built a new version on top of it and posted it on Mod The Sims in January 2017. That page has more than 4 million downloads, but it was last updated in November 2021, and players reported problems after the June 2022 Werewolves patch. GhostWitch then released an updated copy in May 2023 that adds werewolf support, and last updated it in March 2025. Luumia’s slider is also based on simmythesim’s original work.

Height slider options you can use today

• GODJUL1’s Height Slider Updated by GhostWitch (Mod The Sims). Status for 1.128: not confirmed. The creator says it works on patch 1.113 (March 2025). Height follows foot size, so townies get varied heights too. Comes in a standard and an Extreme version.
• Sim Height Slider by Luumia (Patreon). Status for 1.128: not confirmed. Updated 20 June 2022 for the Werewolves patch. You drag the neck to change height, and it adds four height presets in the Bodies section.
• Height Slider by GODJUL1 (Mod The Sims). Status for 1.128: not confirmed. The original feet slider, last updated 9 November 2021. GhostWitch’s version replaces it.
• Height Slider Collection by Redhead Sims (creator’s site). Status for 1.128: not confirmed. Separate sliders for toddlers, children and adults, posted in 2018 with no update notes since.

What it does

The base game gives every Sim of the same age the same height. A height slider adds a new control in Create a Sim that scales the whole body up or down. The two main options work in different ways:

• GhostWitch (GODJUL1) slider: linked to foot size. Bigger feet make a taller Sim, smaller feet a shorter one. Because the game already varies foot size, Sims all over your world get different heights. It covers teens and adults.
• Luumia slider: you drag the neck up and down in front view. Only Sims you edit change height. If you do not want to drag sliders, pick one of the four presets: Short, Medium Short, Medium Tall or Tall.

GhostWitch puts it simply: use her slider if you want all Sims in your game to have varied heights, and Luumia’s if you only want the Sims you edit to change.

Does it work with patch 1.128?

Not confirmed. Patch 1.128 came out on 22 September 2026, and none of the slider creators has posted about it. No height slider is on the EA forum lists of mods cleared or updated for 1.128. A slider like GhostWitch’s is one small .package file with no script, so it breaks less often after patches than script mods do. They can still break, though, as GODJUL1’s original showed after the Werewolves patch. Check our Sims 4 mod status page for news.

How to install

Download only from the official pages linked above. Reuploads on other sites are a common source of malware.

1. Pick one slider. For GhostWitch’s version, choose either the standard or the Extreme file, not both. If you are not sure, the creator recommends the standard one.
2. Download the zip and extract the .package file.
3. Place it in Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/Mods.
4. In the game, open Game Options, then Other, and tick Enable Custom Content and Mods. GhostWitch also advises turning on Script Mods Allowed if the slider does not work. Restart the game.
5. To remove a slider, delete its .package file from the Mods folder.

How to use the slider in CAS

For a new Sim, open Create a Sim, go to the body and click and drag. With GhostWitch’s slider, drag the feet. With Luumia’s, turn the Sim to front view and drag the neck up or down.

For a Sim that already lives in your save, you need full edit mode. One slider creator notes that custom sliders do not work on Sims that already exist without it. EA lists the cheat for this as cas.fulleditmode. Here is how to use it:

1. In live mode, press Ctrl+Shift+C to open the cheat console.
2. Type testingcheats true and press Enter.
3. Type cas.fulleditmode and press Enter, before you open CAS.
4. Shift-click the Sim and choose Modify in CAS. Now you can change the height.

Requirements

• Base game only. GhostWitch and GODJUL1 list no packs as needed.
• Custom content enabled in Game Options.

Known conflicts

• Only one height slider at a time. GhostWitch does not recommend running hers together with Luumia’s, and you should never install two versions of the GODJUL1 file.
• The GODJUL1 and GhostWitch sliders conflict with Shimrod101’s Agefix and with any mod that changes the same game resources (listed on the Mod The Sims page).
• Kissing and other two-Sim animations look off when Sims have very different heights. Luumia also notes that hands or feet can sometimes disappear while you adjust height, and that restarting the game fixes it for a while.

FAQ

Which height slider is best?

GhostWitch’s update of GODJUL1’s slider is the most recently updated. Pick Luumia’s if you only want to change Sims you edit yourself, or if you like presets.

Can I use two height sliders together?

No. Use one slider, and only one file version of it.

Does height change gameplay?

No. Height is only visual, but some animations between Sims of different heights will clip.

Does it work for children and toddlers?

GhostWitch’s and GODJUL1’s sliders cover teens and adults. Redhead Sims has separate toddler and child sliders from 2018, which have not been checked against recent patches.
