The leak – dates and details

We might be getting two brand-new Sims 4 kits before the end of August, and the leak comes from one of the community’s most trusted sources. According to Pixelade, reliable insider Anadius has revealed fresh details that weren’t even on EA’s latest roadmap. Anadius claims that SP71 and SP72 are scheduled for release on August 21st, with a patch arriving on August 19th. This timing lines up with EA’s usual pattern of dropping an update right before launching new content. Interestingly, there are gaps in the numbering—SP68 through SP70 are still missing from release. This could mean those earlier kits are still in development or have been pushed back.

Could these be creator kits?

Pixelade speculates that SP71 and SP72 might be creator-made kits. The last batch of creator kits was well-received by the community. Because modders and CC creators handle most of the design work, EA can package and market these much faster than in-house kits. If SP68–SP70 are being developed by Maxis internally, they could require more production time.

Why we take this seriously

Anadius has a proven track record. They correctly leaked names and release dates for Comfy Gamer, Secret Sanctuary, and Kasanova Cave kits. They revealed timing for creator kits Refined Living Room and Business Chic. They even broke details on the Sims 1 and Sims 2 re-releases before EA confirmed them. With that history, it’s very likely we’ll see these kits later this month.

The bigger issue – bugs still linger

While new content is exciting, Pixelade raises a fair concern. Major save corruption bugs remain unfixed. Several game-breaking glitches still affect players. It’s unclear if these will be addressed before year’s end. Many in the community are hoping EA will focus on stability and bug fixes rather than pushing out back-to-back kits.

What could the themes be?

No aesthetic or theme details have surfaced yet. With creator kits, the styles can range from hyper-specific décor sets to unique clothing capsules, so the possibilities are wide open.
